A Study on the Factors Affecting the Quality of Life of the Reconstructed Family: From the perspective of adults who have experienced remarriage

Abstract

|
Objectives: This study examines psychological, economic, family relations, and social factors that affect the quality of life of remarried families.
Methods: A total of 114 remarried families were surveyed, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0.
Results: First, the more resilient remarried families tend to cope actively with stress caused by various conflicts, problems and events that arise during the dismantlement and family reorganization process. Second, the higher the average monthly income of the remarried family is, the better their quality of life is. Similarly, the greater their economic satisfaction is, the better their quality of life is. Third, the marital relationship is a very important factor for remarried families. Fourth, women have better quality of life than men in terms of gender differences that affect the quality of life of remarried families.
Conclusions: It was confirmed that specialized psychological support and program development may be necessary to promote social awareness of remarried families and to maintain their healthy and happy remarried lives.
